The Biological Science course at Qatar University offers extensive training and research opportunities in the main areas of biology including cellular, molecular, developmental, ecology, and evolution. It aims to prepare students for careers in education, research, and biology-related fields in order to meet the needs and aspiration of the Qatari society.

The major in Biological Science aims to: Help Students develop an understanding of the various biology sub disciplines Provide students with intensive laboratory and field experiences. Carry out basic and applied research and prepares students for careers in teaching and research. Foster creativity and enhance students’ communication skills.

Graduates of the Biological Sciences major will be able to:

Understand the nature and applications of molecular tools.

Engage in critical thinking through problem solving activities on a biological topic.

Demonstrate proficiency in writing skills by giving concise, clear and organized written communication about a biological concept.
