Overview
All first year students also take the Global Engineering Challenge, where teams of students work to solve engineering problems in developing countries.
This Aerospace Engineering with a Year in Industry programme from University of Sheffield is designed to develop you as a professional engineer and enhance your career prospects. Second years get to work on a project to solve a problem set by one of our industrial partners.
Key Features
- Your year in industry will put your studies into context and enhance your career prospects. You will pay a reduced fee to the University for that year and you'll be paid a salary.
- After a year of core study, you'll choose either the avionic systems or aeromechanics stream. In your final year, you'll work on a research project led by one of our world leading academics.
Accreditation
Our courses are accredited by the Royal Aeronautical Society, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Institution of Engineering and Technology and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining. The BEng (Hons) satisfies the academic requirements for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partly meets the academic requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer.
