Overview

The Bachelor of Aviation (Honours) degree offered at the Swinburne University of Technology is undertaken as an additional year following the three-year Bachelor of Aviation or Bachelor of Aviation (Management) degree, or four-year Bachelor of Aviation / Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Aviation (Management) / Bachelor of Business double degrees.

Course learning outcomes

Students who successfully complete this course will be able to:

Demonstrate coherent and advanced knowledge of aviation.

Plan and generate an individual professionally-relevant scholarly research project with some independence, as preparation for research higher degrees.

Acquire knowledge of research principles and methods, and apply technical research skills employing critical thinking and judgement in developing new understanding in professional aviation practice.

Demonstrate advanced oral and written communication skills to a variety of audiences.

Employ an entrepreneurial approach in contributing to research and development in professional aviation practice.
