
The (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science degree at University of Lincoln aims to develop students’ knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in key areas of physiology, biomechanics, and psychology in order to understand their impact on sports performance, physical activity, and health.
Integrated into the curriculum are a number of professional qualifications that students can gain alongside their degree at no extra cost. These include Gym Instruction, Personal Training, and Exercise Referral.
Students can develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a range of careers in sport science and health, such as sport science support officers, strength and conditioning coaches, performance analysts, and clinical and community health advisors. Opportunities exist to progress into teaching (following further training), to work with the emergency services, and to continue studies at postgraduate level.
