Comprehensive healthcare for the community emphasises prevention, cure and rehabilitation. Physiotherapists use various techniques to overcome dysfunction in patients to enhance recovery from illness or injury, and even to enhance the performance of those who are fit and healthy. Apart from methods such as manual therapy (which includes massage and joint mobilisation), exercise therapy, movement analysis and re-education, methods such as electrotherapy are also used as treatment modalities.

- Write the National Benchmark Tests AQL and MAT
- National Senior Certificate aggregate pass mark of at least 60% (excluding Life Orientation)
