From robots and automated production systems to smart machines and consumer technology: mechatronics is everywhere. You learn how to design, programme and improve systems that make processes smarter, safer and more efficient during this Mechatronic Engineering degree from HZ University of Applied Sciences.
During the programme, you work on practical projects ranging from industrial automation to smart consumer products. For example, students have contributed to technologies designed to remove plastic from the oceans. You gain hands-on experience with the latest technologies and learn how mechatronics can contribute to solutions in areas such as healthcare, mobility, energy, safety and climate.

Programme Structure
Modules include:
- In the third year of the programme, you choose a minor. A minor will allow you to deepen or broaden your knowledge and skills. You can do this at the HZ or at another university of applied sciences in the Netherlands or abroad.
- In the final year, you choose one study route: Mechatronic Engineering, Energy Transition Engineering, Product Engineering or Commercial Engineering. In the first semester, you will have classes and projects.
- In the second half of the year, you will work on your graduation project.

To be admitted to Engineering programme you need:
- A qualification equivalent to a Dutch secondary education diploma, which gives you access to higher education.
- High school graduated in mathematics as part of secondary education diploma.
- A good command of written and spoken English. Your level of English should be equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.0.
