Overview

Our department was established in 1994as part of the Faculty of Engineering. In our department, education and research are conductedat the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels across six academic disciplines.The language of instruction for courses in our undergraduate programis English.

Accreditation

Electrical and Electronics Engineering department started MUDEK studies in 2005 and was evaluated for the first time in 2007 and was found suitable for accreditation. With the interim and new evaluations after this date, the MÜDEK accreditation of the department has continued until today and it was accredited until 2023 in the last evaluation. Programme Structure

Graduates of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Programfind employment in the electrical, electronic, and telecommunications sectors, at national andmultinational companies, at radio and TV broadcastingorganizations, at organizations related to internet services,and in the healthcare and renewable energy sectors,in research and development, production, and marketing departments. Many of them are pursuing graduate studies at prestigious universities.

Audience

To educate graduates capable of succeeding on an international scale. To conduct development projects and scientific research tailored to the country’s needs. To produce science and technology that will contribute to the strength of the state and the nation.To meet the standards set by internationally accredited organizations in the areas of education, instruction, research, student affairs, building infrastructure and work environment, organizational structure, and operations.

Lecturers

Our department currently has 7 professors, 5 associate professors, 6faculty members with doctoral degrees, 12 research assistants, 1 engineer,1 technician, 1 department secretary, and 4 support staff,for a total of 37 people working to carry out education, teaching, and researchactivities.Our department currently has 559 undergraduate students,and each year, 50 students are admitted to the departmentthrough the exam administered by ÖSYM. The 2025 YKS cutoff scoreis 466.65787.
