Overview

Preparatory Course for the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nursing from University of Malta equips you with the key skills that would secure admission to, and additionally prepare you for successful engagement in the undergraduate degree in nurse education. You will be eligible to be admitted to the Preparatory Course for the Nursing area of study if you are in possession of the requirements for admission as outlined in the Admission and Progression Requirements section. As a successful candidate, you will follow the programme of study for the Preparatory Course as directed by the Board of Studies. The main objectives are to teach you academic skills, nursing as a profession and basic biomedical sciences. You will then be able to successfully complete the course and start your path for a nursing profession.

Career:

If you successfully complete all credits included in the preparatory programme and obtain a final average mark of at least 55%, you will be able to progress to the B.Sc. (Hons) in Nursing offered by the Department of Nursing within the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Malta.

Applicants are required to be in possession of one of the following:

passes in the Secondary Education Certificate Examination at Level 3 or Grade 5 or better in six subjects, including: Maltese, English Language and Mathematics or

a Diploma awarded by an institution other than the University of Malta pegged at MQF/EQF Level 4 comprising not less than 120 ECTS/ECVET credits.
