The fundamental objective of the Primary Education Teaching from University of Alcalá is to train Primary Education Teachers who are able to anticipate the comprehensive educational needs of students, taking into account their family and socio-cultural environment, and consequently know how to respond to the present and future needs of their students.

General training is complemented by specialized training through the available specializations. As stated in the Organic Law on Education (LOE), Primary Education will be taught by teachers who are competent in all areas of this level. Subjects such as Music, Foreign Languages, and other subjects determined by the Government, after consultation with the Autonomous Communities, will be taught by teachers with the corresponding specialization or qualifications.
