Special Needs and Inclusive Education from Addis Ababa University is a four years undergraduate program.

Key facts

Addis Ababa University is a pioneer in launching Bachelor of Art degree in Special Needs and Inclusive Education in 2006. More than 1000 students have graduated from the Department are now working in Universities, Colleges, NGOS, schools, International Institutions such as UNESO, UNICEF and work as a consultant, self employed. The program is internationally recognized and has created many job opportunities for our former graduates. The Bachelor degree in Special Needs and Inclusive Education leads the candidate to MA program and then PhD. The Department is very rich in human and material resources.

Two full professors, three associate professors and three assistance professors involves in the BA program. There is well organized resource centre for BA students to learn from it. The Department has very strong link with international universities such as Munich University (Germany), Jyvaskyla University (Finland), and Vienna University (Austria) to share international experience for our students. There are also some other inward international collaborations.
