Overview

To enable Polymer Materials and Engineering students from Yangzhou University to have the natural science knowledge, engineering theory and professional foundation required by polymer materials science and engineering; On this basis, students can have good learning ability, innovation consciousness, safety consciousness, global vision and team spirit, and can engage in scientific research, technology development, product design and application, production and management in the fields of polymer material synthesis, processing and modification, so as to become engineering and technical talents.

Five years after graduation, students are expected to achieve the following goals:

1. Professional skills: Students have a solid foundation in mathematics, natural science and engineering technology as well as polymer materials and engineering, and be able to integrate multi-disciplinary knowledge to identify, express, analyze and study complex engineering problems in the field of synthesis, processing and modification of polymer materials, so as to form systematic solutions.2. Career orientation: Students have a sense of innovation and strong engineering practice ability, can track the cutting-edge technology in polymer materials and related fields, and engage in scientific research, technology development, product design and application, production and operation and management in this field, so as to reach the professional level of engineer.3. Basic quality: Students have good professional ethics, humanistic quality, anti-pressure ability andsense of social responsibility. They have the awareness of sustainable development in technology development and production management. They can take many factors into account such as law, morality, economy, environment, safety, health, ethics and so on.4. Social capacity: Students have the ability of effective self-expression and mutual communication, interpersonal skills, organizational management and execution, team spirit, can integrate, drive or coordinate the organization and implementation of the project, and play an effective role.5. Self-development: Students have a sense of globalization and international vision, maintain the habit of lifelong learning, and can adapt to the changes and development of the professional environment and carry out self-development.
