Overview

Combining the technical rigor of the Politecnico di Torino with the ecological and systemic vision of UNISG Pollenzo, this bachelor's degree program in Food Tech for Ecological Transition offers a broad interdisciplinary approach to the food sector. The laboratories included in each course transform theory into practical solutions related to food processing and the development of devices (IT, electronic, and mechanical) to support production processes. Student life unfolds on a campus spread across the cities of Bra (Pollenzo) and Turin, within a dynamic international community. Graduates acquire technical skills to analyze, redesign, and support the ecological transition of food systems through innovative technologies.

• They support the sustainable redesign of production lines by modifying IT, electronic, or mechanical systems, reducing energy and water use, and reusing waste and byproducts. They also contribute to the development of innovative food products in terms of their composition, packaging, or consumption. Their profile combines analytical and computational skills (related to statistics, mathematics, and computer science) with organizational skills applied to the management of production processes and facilities (thanks to knowledge of chemistry, food technology processes, mechanics, hydraulics, physics, and electronics), and expertise in innovation support and design, developed with the contribution of socio-humanistic and legal-economic disciplines. 
• Work confidently with artificial intelligence tools, geospatial analytics software, automation and sensors, and be able to place these innovations within the framework of food law and governance structures.
• Equally important, he or she possesses the ability to explain complex solutions to managers, policymakers, and communities, building consensus and support for sustainable change.
