Overview

Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT), in partnership with AERO-Bildungs GmbH of Germany, is recognised by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) as an approved centre in Malaysia for Aviation Maintenance Training Organization (MTO). UniKL MIAT will offer Aircraft Maintenance License Program - EASA programme from Universiti Kuala Lumpur.

Career

An aircraft maintenance engineer is fully responsible for ensuring an aircraft operates safely and in compliance towards the aircraft manufacturer maintenance standards.

A license aircraft engineer may make maintenance repairs, troubleshoot problems on aircraft systems, conduct airworthiness inspections and make upgrades to aircraft parts or structures that relate to the continuity of an aircraft airworthiness.

Daily duties may include keeping records of performed scheduled maintenance, making emergency repairs, or preparing for any required inspections.

Pass Technical Professional Certificate in a related field with one year of work experience in the field of aviation and pass SPM with at least one credit in any subject

Pass O-Level with at least Grade C in Mathematics, English and Science

Passed in the International Baccalaureate (/8) with a minimum of 24 points

Pass A-Level with at least Grade C in Mathematics, English and Science

Other qualifications equivalent to SPM with at least one credit in any subject recognized by the Malaysian Government
