Year Abroad

This four-year version of the course gives you the opportunity to spend the third year of your degree studying with one of University of East Anglia 's many partner institutions across the globe, which offers teaching in your subject and in English. Destinations range from Japan to Hong Kong, Australia, Europe, Latin America, and Canada and the USA.

A year abroad provides far more than just international travel. You'll gain new academic perspectives, develop cross-cultural communication skills, and build global networks that enrich both your personal development and professional prospects. To participate, you'll need to maintain solid academic progress (an aggregate of 55% across your first and second years). Partner institution availability varies annually, so we encourage flexibility regarding destination preferences. Should your circumstances change, you can transfer to the three-year degree programme at any point.
