Literature & Digital Humanities: Study how the Mediterranean has been imagined and narrated-from canonical texts to travel literature-while using modern digital tools for textual analysis.
Anthropology & the Environment: Engage with pressing global challenges, including migration, deindustrialization, and overtourism, while exploring the relationship between communities and their environment.
Archaeology of the Sea: Discover symbols and ideas that traveled across the waves, viewing the sea not as a barrier, but as a shared, anthropized space of connection.

The primary goal is to provide students with a thorough understanding of Italian identity by highlighting its historical, cultural, and linguistic connections with other Mediterranean countries.
