The programme’s specific learning objectives are achieved through both theoretical and practical learning in disciplines that underpin the international cultural framework of Physiotherapy. The delivery of module content in English facilitates the integration of graduates into international professional settings. At the end of the programme, the Physiotherapy graduate will have acquired knowledge, skills and relational abilities, with particular reference to professional responsibility, care and rehabilitation, therapeutic education, prevention, management, training/self-training, evidence-based practice, research, communication and interpersonal relations.

The programme’s practical objectives are assessed through practical tests involving real patients or simulated clinical scenarios, case study analysis and discussion, and internships at specialised rehabilitation facilities. The relational and communication skills required of physiotherapists to establish effective relationships with patients, caregivers and the professional system are developed through modules in human sciences and psycho-pedagogical disciplines, aimed at fostering listening skills and the ability to manage dialogue with patients and their families. Candidates who, are willing to take the admission test must meet one of the following requirements:

possession of a secondary school diploma obtained after 12 years of schooling. Candidates who have obtained the diploma abroad must complete such documentation with the Declaration of Value issued by the Italian diplomatic representation abroad or with the CIMEA Certification.
attending the last year of a secondary school which allows for the achievement of a valid qualification/diploma for the admission to the degree course (secondary school diploma obtained after 12 years of schooling).
final high school diploma obtained after 10 or 11 years of schooling, supplemented by one or two years of university and the passing of all the examinations required for the years attended.
