Overview

On Justice (Policy, Politics and Social Reform) at Queensland University of Technology you'll engage in two capstone units: one mandatory and one elective. The core unit, First Nations (In) Justice, delves into colonial history, examines the effects of crime and policing policies on First Nations people, and explores culturally safe approaches to achieving justice within these communities. For your second capstone unit, you have the option to undertake a professional justice work placement, participate in an international study tour with a focus on work-integrated learning, or immerse yourself in an Indigenous justice-focused organisation through a professional placement in the First Nations justice sector.

Career:

Past graduates have created social and justice policies for governments, contributed to the work of advocacy centres (e.g. women, youth and children's advocacy) or work in other popular career choices such as human rights and antidiscrimination areas.

With the Bachelor of Justice (Policy, Politics and Social Reform) degree you can pursue careers in policy advice and public service, youth justice policy, domestic violence policy, anti-discrimination advocacy, diplomacy, immigration, international policy and more.
