During this Leisure and Events Management - Sports and Esports course at Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) , you will learn how to create meaningful experiences for your target audience. You will work with real clients and have access to our own gaming and esports space, The Hive. Prepare yourself for a future full of career opportunities in both sports and esports.

Career

This is similar to the companies where you can do your placement. There are many different directions you can go in. Many of our alumni end up working for football clubs, marketing agencies, associations, local authorities, and event organisations. In addition, some students find work at charities and foundations.

Programme Structure

Curriculum:

The first year of the specialisation is all about getting to know the industry, building a network, and applying the theories in projects.

The courses you take cover the fan culture of a particular sport and/or esport, project management related to organising an event, setting up a livestream, and exploring the business side of sports and esports.

You will also dive into the on-site and online fan experience of sports and esports, and then, at the end of the first specialisation year, you will carry out a large project from A to Z with your group for a real client.

You will develop a concept, involve stakeholders, create and work with a budget, organise the event, and evaluate how it went.
