Overview
The Bachelor of Educational Studies /Master of Teaching (Secondary) pathway from Charles Sturt University allows you to graduate with a Bachelor of Educational Studies, and a Master of Teaching (Secondary) and become an accredited Secondary teacher. This pathway can be completed in four years full-time study for school leavers, or as little as two-years full-time study for people entering the pathway with previous vocational or university study and relevant work experience.
You can tailor your degree to include only the subjects you need to become nationally accredited in a teaching field that interests you. Our education course draws on a wide range of subjects from across the entire university.
If you're already a teacher you can enhance your career options by adding to your existing teaching accreditation. Add primary teaching accreditation to your high school accreditation or add another high school teaching area. Primary school teachers can also study to gain high school accreditation. If you don't yet hold a teaching qualification, you'll gain a generalist degree in education providing you with knowledge and skills that will be valued in a variety of educational environments.
Career opportunities
When you graduate, you'll be ready to make your mark in a wide range of careers, including:
