About our Bachelor of Information Technology in Business Information Systems

In this course, students will learn how information is generated, communicated, stored, and used in a range of business activities. They will learn how to integrate IT into business environments and processes to make better decisions, improve productivity and profitability, and create new growth opportunities.

You will learn how to solve business problems as you build your understanding of information systems design, management, and development. You’ll find many career opportunities all over the world in the IT industry, or you can pursue additional education or a research career.

Our Bachelor of Information Technology course is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS).

Programme Structure

The Bachelor of IT in Business Information Systems provides a strong foundation in information technology while developing the technical and analytical skills needed to design, implement, and manage technology solutions that support business operations. Students study core areas including programming, cybersecurity, databases, computer systems, data communications, project management, research methods, and professional practice before progressing to specialised topics such as information systems management, enterprise architecture, business analysis and design, business intelligence, and intelligent systems. The course also includes a Discovery Unit to develop transferable skills and offers the flexibility to broaden your studies through an approved double major or elective units.
