Overview

The Regional Tourism programme from Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra provides a general overview of financial management and the fundamentals of accounting. Students also learn the basics of tour guiding and the rules of effective communication with professional partners. The training is highly practise oriented. The third trimester of the students' third academic year is an internship.

Career opportunities

On the basis of the National Qualifications System, a graduate of the Regional Tourism study programme can find employment as a manager of a tourist information centre or an employee of a tourist information centre. He can find employment as a quality manager in tourism, but also as a mystery shopper – especially in typical sectors of tourism (accommodation, catering facilities, transport companies, travel agencies).

Graduates of the study programme are also qualified for the position of manager in the field of marketing, public relations manager, or as a manager of wholesale operations.

The basic condition for admission to the study of the first level of study at the FSŠ UKF in Nitra is the acquisition of a complete secondary education or a complete secondary vocational education completed by a school-leaving examination.
