Overview

The new  Management in Information Systems degree at King Khalid University focuses on the intellectual and practical development of MIS students by analyzing the academic landscape they will enter after graduation and addressing the needs of the job market in terms of specialization and the necessary English language proficiency for developing information systems projects using information technologies.

The plan aims to prepare the student academically and practically by equipping them with the contemporary skills and abilities required by governmental and private organizations, while taking into account the values and ethics of public service. To achieve this overall goal, the following specific objectives have been set:

• To equip the student with the basic knowledge and skills in computer science and information technology.
• To equip the student with advanced skills in developing information technology and its applications in management.
• To equip the student with the skills to use quantitative methods in management.
• Designing databases while raising the student's skill level in dealing with its advanced applications.
• The ability to design electronic business solutions and effectively manage information technology in organizations.
• To provide the student with the foundations, concepts and modern trends in the field of management.

• Preparing and qualifying students to work in various governmental and private organizations.

Careers

A graduate in Management Information Systems (MIS) will possess the necessary knowledge and skills to become an IT specialist in both public and private organizations.

This program will teach students modern scientific methods and techniques for developing and implementing MIS and IT systems. Furthermore, the program aims to enhance students' understanding of the work environment in which they will apply their acquired skills. Upon completion of this program, graduates are expected to be able to support their organizations in various technical aspects related to the organization's core activities, and will be capable of managing a range of tasks, including:
