Through these courses, students learn about modern trends in advanced networking technologies for building computer networks, robotics, and artificial intelligence. This last course introduces students to the latest trends in robotics and artificial intelligence and their applications in industry and modern life.

The department focuses on four key areas of specialization or knowledge concentration: embedded systems and the Internet of Things, computer network engineering, robotics and artificial intelligence, and hardware and systems security. It also offers an associate degree program in computer engineering as a pathway to a bachelor's degree in computer engineering
