The Faculty of Law, Thammasat University - Tha Phra Chan campus is located within the old city of Bangkok, known as Rattanakosin Island, which was formed by the loop of the Chao Phraya River and adjoining canals. Since the establishment of Bangkok as the capital city, the Island has been used to accommodate the Grand Palace, Royal Palaces, and government buildings making it the center of power in the country. Several major political changes affecting Thai history have taken place within this area. Thammasat University, especially the Faculty of Law, is regarded as one of the active players in the country's political development.

In Semesters 1 and 2 of the Business Law course at Thammasat University, courses normally last for 15 weeks. Only elective courses will be available in summers and they are all more intensive, running for at least 6 weeks. However, the total teaching time of a summer course will be equal to that of a course offered during the normal semesters.

General requirements

Applicants must have received or expect to receive a Matthayom 6 certificate, a high school certificate, or an equivalence according to Council of University Presidents of Thailand.

The Selection Committee will only consider applicants who achieve the SAT as following minimum scores:

1,200 from the total score (all two parts combined); and

550 from Evidence-Based Reading and Writing.

Applicants are also required to take a Math test but no minimum score is required. The essay is not required.

Shortlisted names of the qualified candidates shall be announced by the committees, to undergo the further interview examination. The assessment aims at measuring the candidates’ listening skills, English speaking skills, attitude, intention and personalities.
