The Thai Studies programme at Thammasat University leads students through Thailand’s sociolinguistics, geography, history, religious development, economic development, business landscape, politics, and into contemporary social issues and problems studied to a level that allows students a sophisticated, practical and real-world-applicable understanding of the Kingdom and its place in the regions of Southeast Asia, the Asia-Pacific and the world.

Thai Studies programme at Pridi Banomyong International College has a mission to create interdisciplinary graduates. We aimed to create a person with knowledge and become experts on Thailand and ASEAN (China or India), social, economic, political, history, culture, and language. We hope our students are up to date with the modern world, are able to find a solution to solve social problems, meet the needs of the labor market, and could become a leader of the society and/or to satisfy the customers at the local, national, and international level. Graduates are able to work in agencies and organizations, including government organizations, private businesses, embassies, and international organizations.

General requirements

Applicants must have finished at least high school (Upper secondary education level) or hold a high school equivalency credential both domestically and internationally.

Remark: Applicants, who have not or have finished their upper secondary education level from an educational institution/a high school aboard or international schools in Thailand, must submit academic transcripts to Pridi Banomyong International College for consideration according to the Thammasat University’s Announcement on Thammasat University’s Guidelines on Equivalency of High School Qualifications, issued in 2021.

Applicants must not be a patient or in a condition that would be a serious obstacle to the study

Applicants must not be a person who acted morally wrong or with excessive bad behavior history.
