Overview
Economics Program at Nagoya University provides students with a strong foundation in macroeconomics and microeconomics, followed by opportunities to explore more advanced topics in the third and fourth years. The curriculum includes a wide range of courses such as economic and management theory, accounting, public policy, and urban economics. While all courses are conducted in English, students are also encouraged to study Japanese language and culture to deepen their understanding of the local context. One of the key strengths of the G30 Economics Program is its emphasis on seminars and discussion-based classes. Beginning in the first year, all students have the opportunity to participate in seminars, which help them to develop their academic interests, research abilities, and communication skills. This well-rounded and diverse curriculum equips students for a broad range of career paths both in Japan and internationally. The program seeks students with a strong background in mathematics who can think both creatively and critically about the complex and emerging challenges facing modern society. If this sounds like the right fit for you, we warmly invite you to apply!
