Overview
The Management in the Energy, Oil and Gas Business programme from University of Nicosia is designed to prepare future junior executives and business managers to be fully trained and competent in aspects of management, economics, politics, law, and technological innovation so that they may function effectively in the competitive and multicultural environment of the global energy, oil & gas industry.
This is achieved -inter alia- by exposing them to substantial practical training experience by placing them in internships in related energy businesses in Cyprus, Greece and abroad.
The general objectives aim to:
- Provide on the one hand expertise in the general Business Administration & Management fields while on the other hand focusing on the specific economic, legal, regulatory, environmental, climate, and technological parameters defining and affecting the modern Energy industry.
- Highlight the evolving nature of the global energy and in particular hydrocarbons industry and the importance of understanding and adapting to the global energy business environment.
- Assist students identify and evaluate ethical issues and make justifiable decisions acknowledging the complexities and diversity of their business environment.
- Enable students to cultivate interdisciplinary academic approaches to deal with the increasing complexity of the international energy industry
- Develop leadership and communication skills.
- Improve students’ conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Ameliorate students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Enhance students’ research and presentation skills.
