Overview
The World Music - Trans-Traditional Creative Musicking degree from SRH University creates a broad foundation in artistic practice and research, in teaching and self-management. In addition to the musical/sound practice that students bring with them and should continue to deepen during their studies, the programme focuses on interdisciplinary, trans-traditional artistic practices, aesthetics and research.

Career paths include working as a professional music performer in various capacities, such as an orchestra or ensemble musician, a soloist or chamber musician, a theatre or opera musician, or a session musician and touring artist.

Graduates can pursue careers in various educational and academic fields. Possible career paths include working as a music educator or instrumental teacher, a lecturer in musicology or ethnomusicology, as well as a university lecturer.

Graduates can also pursue careers in cultural management, taking on roles such as cultural manager, event organizer, music festival director, or music agent. Additionally, they may work as event managers, overseeing the planning and execution of various artistic events.
Programme Structure
- In addition to performative and creative approaches, students are encouraged to engage with practices and methods of artistic and academic research. Skills in music education and pedagogy, as well as in managing their own projects, are also taught.
- The teaching/learning methods are differentiated according to the area of knowledge and cover the spectrum of possible teaching methods: from lectures, seminars and research workshops to individual and group lessons on instruments or technologies, exercises and rehearsal workshops to internships, field research and independent project work.
- The expected heterogeneous composition of the student body also allows peer-to-peer learning to be utilised in a targeted manner.

- or at least two years of vocational training and at least three years of professional experience plus an aptitude test
