Overview

The implementation of Medical education from IPB University is designed to provide space for prospective doctors to hone their abilities and independent thinking skills by implementing community-based learning strategies, flexibility learning, utilization of learning technology in the field of medicine and collaborative learning with various partners at the national / international level. The curriculum uses an integrated block system and consists of 165 semester credit units (SKS) for undergraduate Medicine (8 semesters) and 56 SKS for medical professions (4 semesters).

Key facts

This study program was established with the hope of answering various challenges in the field of health and medicine and strengthening IPB as a center of excellence in the development of science and technology and community service. This is achieved by organizing academic and professional medical education, conducting research, technology and art in the field of medicine with herbal excellence, community service through Academic Health System collaboration and establishing partnerships for the success of the Tri Dharma of higher education.

Competence in the field of herbal medicine which includes mastery of biomedical science, clinical applications, utilization of technology and entrepreneurship in the development of herbs for health.

The curriculum is designed so that graduates are able to apply the concept of One Health, which is an approach in handling health problems by paying attention not only to aspects of human health, but also animal health and the environment.

In carrying out their profession, graduates are able to collaborate with various professions from across sectors so as to significantly reduce morbidity and improve public health standards.
