Communication and Community Development IPB University

Overview

This Communication and Community Development study delivered by IPB University equips graduates with the ability to:(1) design and apply community development communication methods for community empowerment and supporting competencies in applying the science of communication and development counseling, applying population science, agrarian and development ecology,(2) apply the science of rural sociology and community development as a cross-border social science from sociology, anthropology, psychology, population and human ecology.

To produce graduates who have the ability:

Apply theories/concepts of sociology, social psychology, community development, communication, counseling, population, agrarian studies, anthropology and human ecology in order to play a role as academics/researchers/practitioners/instructors and assistants.

Design, implement and monitor and evaluate communication / extension programs, community development, natural resource and environmental management based on digital ecosystems at various levels

Make appropriate decisions based on information and data analysis with various approaches and be able to facilitate the community in choosing various alternative methods and techniques based on information and communication technology (ICT) for education, research, counseling, mentoring

Be honest, critical, leadership, empathetic, resilient, gender sensitive, communicative, partiality to marginalized groups, cooperation and networking, fair and equal, creative – innovative, ethical, participatory and social entrepreneurial who are responsible for the process and results of independent work towards groups, organizations and communities in the workplace and other stakeholders.
