Overview

This Agribusiness study programme offered by IPB University is multidisciplinary by combining social, economic and management sciences, supported by system theory and applied technology and biological resource materials (agriculture, fisheries, livestock and forestry) that characterize the competence of its graduates.

Key facts

It has two divisions (scientific group sections), namely; Agribusiness Policy Division and Business and Entrepreneurship Division. In the future, the development of the division is directed at the scientific development of Agribusiness Economics, Agribusiness Companies and Agribusiness Entrepreneurship.

Having a curriculum that is a reference (trend setter) for agribusiness undergraduate programs in Indonesia.

The curriculum is based on the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and user needs (industry / work field), adaptive to development and agile.

The distinctive curriculum in addition to being built on the scientific foundation of economics and management is strengthened by entrepreneurship: Entrepreneurship Courses and Practices. In addition, many students have started businesses since they were in college.

Graduates have the ability to make strategic and operational decisions using quantitative and qualitative methods and are able to recommend alternative solutions individually and in groups in the field of sustainable tropical agribusiness, can take part in various sectors / jobs, because the agribusiness system is a megasector in the economy.

General requirements

Graduates of high school in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 or 2025;

Maximum age: 25 years;
Has completed 12 years of primary and secondary education;
For Malaysian applicant, you must have a Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)/Malaysian Higher School Certificate;
English proficiency certificate : TOEFL iBT (min. score 53), TOEFL ITP (min. score 477), IELTS (min. score 5.5), DUOLINGO (min. score 80);
For foreign applicants who do not have an English Proficiency Certificate, we will provide a prediction test for English proficiency.
The entrance examination of International Undergraduate Program is the Scholastic Ability Test which is Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The total number of questions is 25 questions. The test duration is 60 minutes. The scoring system: (1) For multiple choice questions: 100% if correct, -25% if incorrect, 0%if blank; (2) For short questions: 100% if correct, 0% if incorrect or blank.
