Overview

Throughout your psychology degree, you’ll explore how people think, feel and behave across different stages of life and in diverse social contexts. You’ll study the major fields in psychology, including human development, cognition, learning, emotion, language and neuroscience, as well as personality, psychological health and wellbeing, and psychological conditions.

The Psychology course at Murdoch University provides a pathway to becoming a registered psychologist through further study, as well as diverse career opportunities where understanding human behaviour is highly valued. 

You could pursue roles in areas such as mental health, counselling support, education, human resources, marketing, community services and research. Your skills in analysis, communication and understanding behaviour are also valued in business, government and not-for-profit sectors. 

To become a registered psychologist, you’ll need to complete further study, including a Master of Professional Psychology or an Honours year and an accredited postgraduate qualification.
