Overview

The History course at Ibn Haldun University boasts a strong and dynamic academic staff comprised of competent faculty members who have graduated from prestigious universities worldwide. By establishing historical practice within universal standards, the department offers students a broad perspective spanning world and European history, Ottoman and Islamic history, and Byzantium to modern Türkiye.

The curriculum, enriched by a wide range of specializations such as historiography, historical sociology, and classical antiquity, is supported by intensive language instruction in research languages such as Ottoman Turkish, Arabic, Persian, Armenian, and Greek. This broad spectrum, from modern Turkish to classical languages, equips students with the skills to work with primary sources.

Students must submit a copy of their original passport and visa page, if applicable, on the day of registration.

Residence Permit

Students who reside in Türkiye and hold a residence permit must have their residence permit with them on the day of registration.

Four (4) passport-sized photographs taken within the last 6 months must be submitted on the registration day.
