Overview
The Economics course at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakif University aims to provide guidance to the new generation of prospective managers and entrepreneurs who will be able to understand the needs of the age, the constantly changing and updating economics, management and finance concepts and managerial tools, and who will be able to combine theory with practice by following technological developments, especially in the fields of finance, informatics and entrepreneurship.
Graduates of the Department of Economics can choose from the following career options:
- Inspector, auditor and expert assistant in various ministries,
- In the public sector, institutions such as central banks, stock exchanges, CMB, BRSA, TMSF, SBB and TÜİK,
- Within many ministries such as the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Treasury-Finance and the Ministry of Energy,
- In many international organizations such as the IMF, World Bank, OECD, EBRD, WTO, ADB,
- In the international trade sector, import and export companies,
- In statistics, economic research and data analysis companies,
- In the research units, planning, treasury and strategy units of relevant institutions,

- Must be a foreign national or must have completed their entire high school level outside of Turkey (not including the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus)
- Must be a senior student or graduate of a high school
- Must not be a citizen of Turkey or the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (or have a dual citizenship right of either country or for the ones who had dual citizenship but abolished either one not to have completed all high school education in Turkey or TRNC)
- Must not have been dismissed from a higher education institute in Turkey despite meeting all other above-mentioned requirements
