Holmesglen Institute of TAFE's evidence-based Nursing course focuses on holistic and client-centred care, equipping you with essential nursing knowledge and skills. You'll gain hands-on experience to develop your competency in nursing practices and build confidence in your theoretical understanding, ensuring you’re ready for a successful career in healthcare.

You will learn in our Simulated Hospital Environment and Immersive Learning Centre at both our Moorabbin and Bourke St Campuses.
Our industry-current, qualified Nurse teachers/staff will support you through the course. You will learn through a combination of on-campus theory, simulation activities in a nursing environment, and supported clinical placements in a variety of clinical settings.
The range of clinical placements reflects the diverse opportunities for employment for enrolled nurses in the health workforce, which includes aged care, rehabilitation, community, sub-acute, and acute settings.

Holmesglen will register all students with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

- • You must provide evidence of English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 7.0 (Academic) overall. With a minimum score of 7.0 in listening, reading, and speaking and a minimum score of 6.5 in writing. - • The Diploma of Nursing has entry criteria set by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC). All students entering this course must demonstrate they have achieved the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) specified level of English language skills, prior to commencing the course.
- • Passes at Year 12 or the overseas equivalent, with passes in all subjects including Mathematics.
- • Students must be at least 18 years of age at the commencement of the course.
