When you complete the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care with Chisholm, you will have achieved a nationally recognised qualification highly regarded by employers in this sector. You will be able to work at a senior level in a variety of children's services, including designing and developing curriculum and supervision of staff.
To undertake this course, you need to hold either the CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or the CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification. If you have not successfully completed either of these courses, please enrol first into the CHC30121 qualification on our website. The Certificate III is now a prerequisite for the Diploma qualification and allows you to complete two qualifications in 2 years.
After successful completion of our CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, Chisholm students can apply to a number of different Universities where they may receive direct credit into a Bachelor of Education Primary &/or Early Childhood degrees.
The course is based on the National Quality Framework and Early Years Learning Framework and has an emphasis on play-based learning.
Throughout the program, you’ll learn more about best practice and quality assurance; planning for children with additional needs; networking; effective communication; family partnerships; childhood development (aesthetic, creative, physical); music programs; and health and safety.
