Overview
Our Business (Accounting) programme at Chisholm Institute is three phased, with phase one consisting of your diploma in Accounting.
Key facts
The second phase of the program delivers the Associate degree component over one year.
Students have the option to leave the program at the conclusion of this year with a recognised Diploma and Associate Degree in Business (Accounting). The third and final phase of the program consists of a further year of study and the completion of the bachelor degree.
Students who complete this phase leave the program with a Diploma and Bachelor Degree in Business (Accounting). The Business program also provides students with advanced skills Graduate Attributes.
Learning outcomes:
A. Understand, summarise and interpret information relevant to local and global business requirements.
B. Evaluate and apply innovative concepts of economics and decision making in line with Australian law and business needs using complex analytical approaches.
C. Apply concepts of business practice and theory to a range of practical situations through summary and interpretation of complex data sets. Identify, explain and analyse the impact of current and future information technology systems on execution of business operations in line with theoretical and practical frameworks.
D. Develop a professional persona that facilitates a culturally diverse team and that values individual approaches of others.
E. Understand and communicate the specific knowledge required to develop a successful career in business.
F. Develop, interpret and convey management accounting processes, transactions and reports and interpret their role in business more broadly.
Accreditation
The Chisholm Bachelor of Business (Accounting) is accredited by CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ).

- • English: Academic IELTS 6.0 with no individual band below 5.5, or Chisholm recognised equivalent; and
