Overview
He/she can solve research and development tasks in engineering production, cooperates in the development and application of new processes. He/she can analyze data, process technological solutions for engineering products, jigs, tools, and equipment; prepare reports and technical documentation for them.
He/she can propose measures to improve production processes and quality of products in engineering production. He/she can determine and optimally use production and work capacities at workplaces of engineering production, control the technological discipline, work procedures and hygiene according to the relevant documentation.
Examples of professions
A graduate of the Production Processes and Materials programme from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava in the Mechanical Engineering field of study will receive a full first-level university education with an orientation on methods of welding, forming, casting, machining, and heat treatment and is ready for second degree studies.
He/she will gain practical experience in arc and gas welding, plastic welding, sheet and bulk metal forming, casting applied to low-melting metals, and tooling and machinery for these technologies.
He/she has basic knowledge of metallic and non-metallic materials and their application and testing in mechanical engineering, automotive industry, and in the production of tools for metal forming and plastic injection. He/she understands the basics of technical preparation of production.
