Overview
Throughout the Dental Surgery course from Management and Science University curriculum combines rigorous academic coursework with extensive hands-on clinical training. Students will gain a deep understanding of the biological sciences, dental anatomy, pathology, and pharmacology, along with the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques.
From the first year, students engage in pre-clinical practice, honing their skills in our state-of-the-art simulation labs. As they progress, they will treat real patients under the supervision of experienced faculty in our modern dental clinics. The programme emphasizes preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of oral diseases, ensuring graduates are well-equipped to promote oral health and wellness in diverse populations.
Our BDS programme also fosters critical thinking, research skills, and a commitment to lifelong learning through various seminars, workshops, and research projects. In the third year, students will have the choice of undergoing an elective attachment either with the dental specialists in public hospitals for specialty exposure or an attachment with private dental practitioners for entrepreneurship.

- The selection for admission to a dental programme implies selection for the dental profession. A person who is qualified in Dentistry from a dentistry programme recognized by the Malaysian Dental Council (“Council”) is entitled to be registered by the Council (Section 12 Dental Act). The fitness to practise Dentistry of the intended applicant shall have to be considered in the selection for entry into any dental programme.
- The practice of Dentistry requires the highest standards of professional and personal conduct as well as professional competence.
Although some students have attained the academic standards required, they will not be suitable to a career in Dentistry. It is in the interest of the public and such students that they should not gain admission, rather than to have to leave the course or the profession subsequently.
