Overview

You’ll be taught by active researchers, including NHS staff and biomedical science practitioners. From the start, you’ll gain practical lab experience, and in your final year, you’ll have a whole term dedicated to your own research project – a rare opportunity to focus and build skills that prepare you for work or further study.

The course is accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science and the Royal Society of Biology, while our four-year Biomedical Science with a Year in Professional Practice course has Advanced Accreditation. Whether you're aiming for a career in the NHS, research, pharmaceuticals or graduate medicine, this course gives you the knowledge, lab skills and confidence to make it happen.

Accreditation

This course is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology (RSB) for the purpose of meeting in part the academic and experience requirement for the Membership and Chartered Biologist (CBiol).

IBMS-accredited with hands-on laboratory training for careers in healthcare, research and industry.
