About

In 2017 the School, through the Institute of Distance Education, introduced the Law - Distance Learning programme at University of Zambia by distance learning. This programme allows students the flexibility of pursuing the LL.B programme without attending regular classes.

The Law - Distance Learning programme at University of Zambia is specifically suited for working professionals and others who may not be able to participate in full-time study. Students are required to attend residential School for two (2) weeks twice in an academic year. 

The programme is delivered through a modular system on a secured online platform hosted by the Institute of Distance Education. Students interact with their course coordinators on this platform.

General requirements

To qualify for admission a candidate must meet the following criteria: 

  • Five ‘O’ levels in English language and four other subjects and 
  • A first degree in any field of study from a recognized University or institution or
  • A professional qualification that is equivalent to a first degree
  • A t least three Cambridge ‘A’ Level passes including English.
