The Liberal Arts (Honours) with Research aims to enhance a student’s personal, professional and civic life.

SSLA aspires to provide a programme that assists young students to grow into critically conscious citizens who are able to find a healthy balance between professional and personal growth with focus on strong academic foundation, sound ethical norms, civic mindedness, problem solving capabilities and transferable skills.

Academic outcomes:

• Demonstrate an understanding of the methods of inquiry and analysis both within and among traditional liberal arts and sciences disciplines (humanities, natural sciences, physical sciences, social sciences)
• Combine core disciplinary training along with contemporary scholarship through
• Research and analysis Develop a strong academic foundation in interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary understanding of the world
• Identify problems and contribute to effective problem solving using domain expertise
• Enhance transferable skills such as robust and rigorous research capability, analytical skills, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, effective communication and writing 
• Use domain knowledge and research skills to contribute towards a sustainable environment
• Apply ethical principles to professional and academic life
