As you progress, you will develop detailed knowledge of human anatomy from early development through to adulthood. You will gain hands-on experience through full-body dissection using Thiel-embalmed cadavers—an advanced preservation method that maintains flexibility and natural colour for a realistic learning experience. You will also complete an independent research project in a specialist area of interest.The University of Dundee was the first in the UK to adopt the Thiel embalming system for teaching, and our staff are recognised as experts in human identification, forensic anthropology, craniofacial identification, and anatomy education.
