Overview

The Environmental Science course from University of Saint Joseph responds to the growing worldwide demand for well-trained professionals in environmental science brought about by environmental degradation and increasing pressures on natural resources. This demand is especially evident in China and the Greater Bay Area which surrounds Macao. Students receive a broad formation in environmental science while also engaging with other scientific disciplines.

The programme includes foundation modules on different fields of science (biology, earth sciences, chemistry, physics, and mathematics), environment-related modules (pollution, energy, waste management, environmental politics, and environmental impact assessment), and modules that promote cross-talk with other disciplines such as ethics, management, architecture, and urban planning.
