Overview

The Electronics and Communication Engineering programme from Maharishi Markandeshwar University (MMU) provides students with technical knowledge about the fundamentals of engineering that are required to solve real-world engineering problems.

Electronics & Communication Engineering is the most emerging and evolving discipline in all respects. Electronics engineers conduct research and oversee the development of electronic systems and the manufacturing of electronic equipment and devices. 

From the global positioning system that can continuously provide the location of a vehicle to deep space navigation and control system, electronics engineers are responsible for a wide range of technologies. For e.g. Internet of Things (IoT) is a promising area for future communication engineering.

Programme objectives

• Apply their knowledge in mathematics, science, and engineering concepts to solve complex problems in the Electronics and Communication Engineering domain.

• An ability to design a system to meet the desired requirements within realistic constraints such as economics, environmental, ethics, health, safety, and manufacturability.

• Understand professional and ethical responsibilities. Function effectively as an individual or as a member of a team in diverse and multidisciplinary settings.

• Communicate effectively complex engineering problems with society and able to write effective reports and make effective presentations.

• Designing and conducting experiments to interpret, and analysing data to provide a valid conclusion.

• An ability to understand and demonstrate the impact of engineering solutions in environmental contexts for sustainable development.

• Creating and applying modern engineering tools to complex engineering problems.

• Apply engineering solutions in economic and societal contexts.

• Demonstrate knowledge of managing projects in multidisciplinary environments.

• An ability to engage in lifelong learning in the broadest context of technological change.

• Identify, formulate and analyze complex engineering problems reaching sustained conclusions using principles of engineering sciences.
