Overview

The Computer Engineering program offered at Istanbul University wishes to prepare and sustain the Computer Engineering program that is primarily preferred in Turkey and the World.

Mission

• To provide visionary solutions by determining the needs in advance and determining the national and international decision-making standards in the IT sector with the academic staff and advisory board that guide the sector. 
• To follow the problems, needs and developments in the society, especially in the IT world, in the issues that are experienced and likely to be experienced, and to undertake the duty of transferring the necessary information and guiding the society in parallel with the needs and developments before problems are experienced. 
• In parallel with the duty of knowledgeable personality and expertise, without waiting for the need, to act jointly, establish communication and strengthen with the relevant institutions and organizations, all kinds of state structures, non-governmental organizations in a proactive manner, to provide strategic support in decisions concerning the entire IT sector, especially national. 
• To reach a leading level in academic activities in Turkey and to conduct active studies with both the IT sector and all sectors operating in the field of IT in terms of academic publication quality, patents, utility models and all kinds of R&D projects, and to direct scientific progress.
