Overview

The Theology program offered at Istanbul University aims to train theologians who learn religion objectively from basic sources, who are equipped to guide society in moral virtues, and who contribute to the peaceful coexistence of differences; to conduct scientific research in line with this purpose.

Career Paths

In addition to working as religious officials within the Presidency of Religious Affairs, they can also work as teachers after completing their pedagogical formation training. In addition, newly opened theology faculties offer new and extensive opportunities for our graduates to be employed in the academic world.

To be successful in the ÖSYM exam (AYT Verbal)
For students who wish to transfer to Istanbul University from higher education institutions in Turkey and abroad, the Regulation on Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer and the principles and conditions determined by our University Senate are applied.
For the vertical transfer of graduates of vocational schools to undergraduate programs that are a continuation of the fields they have graduated from, the provisions of the Regulation on the Continuation of Undergraduate Education of Graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Programs are applied.
