Overview

Elementary Teacher Education Programme is one of the undergraduate programmes provided by the Division of Elementary Education.

Key features

The Programme lasts 4 years with 2 semesters per year. The education to be given to students each semester consists of 14 weeks. The students must complete 4 years of study acquiring 240 ECTS credits. Dokuz Eylul University gives priority to keep up with the current trends in the field of teacher education and therefore, curricula are updated and new curricula are implemented in line with the reformation process in the higher education system. Graduates of the department will be responsible for teaching in elementary schools from the first grade to the fourth, therefore the university provides a multi-dimensional education programme for the students.
