Overview

At the Energy and Environmental Engineering program offered at Oulu University of Applied Sciences you will develop internal, professional, and external competencies. Internal competencies refer to the foundational skills of engineering. You will develop your basic engineering skills and learn to work responsibly and communicate effectively as a part of an international project team. Professional competencies consist of mastering the processes in energy technology and environmental engineering. External competencies refer to the ability to adapt to the changing business environment. You will learn to work professionally in a dynamic workplace by continually developing yourself and the energy technology industry. Sustainability, environmental aspects, and legislation are integrated into the course contents.

There are four different selection methods used in the student selection for the study option in Energy and Environmental Engineering

Selection method 1: International UAS exam
Selection method 2: SAT test
Selection method 3: Certificate-based selection for Finnish upper secondary school and RP/DIA diplomas and Finnish and international IB, EB diplomas
Selection method 4: Certificate-based selection method for Finnish vocational degree

Applicants applying with International UAS exam or in certificate based selection are required to give a proof of their English language skills beforehand. More information regarding the language requirements is available at the website of uasinfo.fi.
