Overview

The curriculum of the Economics and Agribusiness program at Yasar University covers supply chain management, operational planning, marketing, accounting and finance, as well as agricultural sciences and technologies. The graduates of this department can work as experts and administrators of planning, business management and quality assurance at agricultural businesses. They can also be employed at R&D centers or found their own businesses as entrepreneurs.The objective of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness is to raise the employable administrative human resources that the agri-food businesses need.

To graduate from the Department whose medium of instruction is English, all senior students are obliged to complete a long-term internship in the sector for one year.

The graduates of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness will be able to find a job in anyplace where an agricultural industry exists. They can work at marketing, product development, planning and project management departments of companies, agriculture companies, chambers of agriculture, food companies, agricultural credit cooperatives, National Productivity Center, Export Promotion Center, Chambers of Commerce, Exchange Commodities, Chambers of Industry, Association of Exporters, agricultural industry businesses within Insurance Companies, as well as large-scale national and international companies operating in seed and pesticides industry.
